Bed Bugs On the Rise
Over the last couple of weeks we have seen a huge rise in the number of Bed Bug call outs! I wanted to write a quick blog to help our current and future customers across South Wales in what to look for and what to do if you discover Bed bugs.
Bed bugs are small, reddish-brown, oval-shaped, parasitic insects that feed on blood. They can drink blood from birds and mammals, but they like human victims best. Humans offer these pests an all-night buffet and great places to hide and nest when they’re not feeding. These creatures are very skilled in hiding! Hiding in cracks in walls or floor boards, in the folds of sheets, in the bed frame crevices, luggage and anywhere else you would be surprised to find them, including electrical sockets, picture frames and bedside lamps.
If your home or business becomes infected with bed bugs, you will need to act quickly. The sooner you detect the bed bugs, the better. Early detection can help prevent the number of bed bugs from increasing and keep the cost of treatments down. Artemis Pest Control is highly skilled and qualified in bed bug treatments that will work to get the bed bugs removed as quickly as possible, and also ed- ucate you on how to keep them away.
Each Female bedbug can lay 400 to 500 eggs during their lifetime.
