Fleas - (Order: Siphonaptera)
Species: Main two in UK are Cat Fleas (Ctenocephalides Felis) and Dog Fleas (Ctenocephalides canis) although other species include; Rabbit flea, Bird Flea, Mole Flea.
Characteristics: Approx 2.6mm long dark colour, can be seen without the use of a magnifying glass, very good jumpers!
Life Cycle: Eggs are approx 0.5mm long and white in colour. 4-8 eggs are laid after each blood meal and a single female can produce 1000 eggs during her lifetime. Eggs then hatch into larvae then approx 2-3 weeks later depending on temperature cocoon and become adults. The development cycle from egg to adult is approx 4 weeks.
Fleas are a very common pest we deal with here at Artemis between the months of April -November. Treatment will involve the use of strong residual insecticides. At Artemis we have a unique process we go through to eliminate fleas very quickly saving the customer the headache of constantly getting bitten
A flea can jump up to 8 inches high. That is 150 times its own height! Thats like you jumping over the Principality Stadium in Cardiff
Our services for Fleas is usually a one - two visit job, its extremely rare we need to do 3 or more visits to clear an infestation.

Prices range from £65 to £250 on average however every call, location is different so prices really can vary - Call us and tell us your situation for a more tailored quote!
Don't be fooled by cheap products and services when it comes to insecticide treatments. We could do a spray for you as cheap as £35 but I I can promise you I wouldn't be very confident in that cheaper chemical working. The key to all pest control jobs is having the right chemicals and equipment for the job and if it sounds too good to be true be careful.
